What is Papa Barks?
Papa Barks is a yearly month-long streaming event benefitting ALS United North Carolina. Throughout July, our streamers band together to raise funds for this amazing cause. The event concludes in a week-long raid train, followed by a finale hosted by our Admin Team.
Anyone can be a part of Papa Barks - including you! Whether you're a streamer who would like to stream for the event, an artist or creator who would like to contribute prizes, or a supporter who would like to donate, there are so many ways to get involved.
This year's theme is Prehistoric Prom! You are now enrolled at Papa Barks University: Will you join the Cretacious College or Saurian State as we emerge from the Time Warp last year and begin anew?

Mark founded the Papa Barks event in 2020 after his father was diagnosed with ALS, and later passed in 2022. This initiative started as a way of fighting alongside him, and now it continues to preserve his father's legacy.

Over the last five years, we've raised over $250,000 in support of ALS victims and research and have been awarded by the ALS association with a circle of excellence for what we do.

What is ALS?
ALS or, Lou Gherigs disease is a disease that slowly kills the motor neurons within a body's nervous system. There is currently no cure for this disease, but with your help, we can fight for one.
